Donald “Don” Mueller, age 95, of Sheboygan passed away Tuesday May 19, 2026. Don was born July 26, 1930, in Sheboygan to the late Alvin and Vera (Selander) Mueller. He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army being stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Virginia Zillner on October 22, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan; she preceded Don in death February 3, 2023. Don was employed at Amira Leather for 29 years and then at Bemis from where he retired. Don enjoyed volunteering at Bethesda, golf, baseball, woodworking, musky fishing and Lutheran senior dartball.
Survivors include his sons Todd (Linda) Mueller of Sheboygan, Lee (Julie) Mueller of Green Bay, grandchildren Benjamin Mueller of Sycamore, IL, Tanya (Steve) Goes of Sheboygan, Nicholas (Katie) Mueller of Cedarburg, great-grandchildren Kennedy, Cooper and Tucker Goes, sister Maxine Mauer of Plymouth, brothers Dewaine Mueller of Sheboygan, Jerome Mueller of Terre Haute, IN, Roy (Barbara) Mueller of Sheboygan, and Ronald (Kathy) Mueller of Pewaukee.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia, brother-in-law Jack Mauer, sisters-in-law Mazie Mueller and Sally Mueller.
Family and friends may gather at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave. Sheboygan on Wednesday May 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor James Schulz will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Lutheran Mausoleum with military honors being conducted by VFW Post #9156.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Don’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Countryside Manor and the ICU at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
