Most of my memories of you were as my littlest cousin. You were a great kid and I wish I had made more of an effort as an adult. I'll miss you.

Doris Nooker was born on January 15, 1956, the youngest child of Elmer and Verona Ziemke, and passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 66. Her beautiful smile will be deeply missed. She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School with the class of 1974. Shortly after graduating, she started her career at Heritage Insurance (now Acuity) that lasted for over 20 years. On May 5, 1990 she was united in marriage with Jerry Nooker at Fountain Park United Methodist Church. Dorie enjoyed bowling in her younger years, crossword puzzles, gardening, watching soap operas, caring for their dogs and was an avid Packer and Badger fan.
Dorie is survived by her husband, Jerry; siblings, Jeanie (Dick) Kearney and Mark Ziemke; sister-in-law, Penny Ziemke; mother-in-law, Emma Nooker and brothers-in-law, Bob, Paul (Janet), Rick and Pat (Cheryl) Nooker. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Dorie is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Verona Ziemke; brother, Bill Ziemke; father-in-law, Gordon Nooker and fur children, Kristy, Shelby, Phoebe and Jack (all Shelties).
A private family service for Dorie was held with Pastor Warren Waddell officiating.
A heartfelt thank you to the patient and professional staff of the cardiac floor at Aurora Medical Center. Also, to Dr. Woody and the outstanding staff at the Vince Lombardi Clinic as well as the kind and compassionate staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. And thank you to God for the gift that was Dorie.
