Douglas “Doug” James Fetterer unexpectedly passed away at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wis., in the early morning hours of April 9, 2025, the day before his 48th birthday. Doug was a deeply kind, introspective man with a calm demeanor and a razor-sharp sense of humor. He listened, and he paid attention. Doug noticed life’s most beautiful details and shared them through stunning photographs. He loved nature, biking, heavy metal music, his friends and family, and his sweet marmalade cat, Clay.

Doug was born on April 10, 1977, in Sheboygan, Wis. He studied geography at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin–Sheboygan, and he worked as a press assistant at Quad/Graphics in Lomira, Wis., for 12 years.

Doug is survived by his mother, Margaret (Gill) Fetterer of Sheboygan and Oostburg, Wis., and his brothers, Robert Fetterer of Algonquin, Ill., and John (Lynn) Fetterer of Deerfield, Wis. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Daniel Fetterer.

Doug left us way too soon, and all who knew him will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.

Family and friends may visit at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, on Saturday, April 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A short service will begin there at 12:00, followed by placement of the urn at Greendale Cemetery in Sheboygan. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Doug’s name.

Their dad is having a hard time with raising them alone! Sorry we can't come to the funeral, as we have another commitment this Sat. We'll be praying for you and your family in this time of grief! Doug was a great guy and an outstanding listener. He will be missed. We shared so much about our personal lifestyle outside quad. May he RIP. He left with giving me a huge smile and a tumbs up.
