Elizabeth “Betty” L. Schuldt

Elizabeth “Betty” L. Schuldt, age 91, of Sheboygan Falls, was called home to her Lord on Friday, April 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Milton and Katherine Kammerude Hendrickson.
Betty attended Pecatonica High School in Blanchardville, WI, graduating in 1949. On June 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Burdette “Burt” M. Schuldt at a country church in Southwest Wisconsin. Burt preceded her in death on May 31, 2021. Betty was employed as a bank teller and worked at Park & Shop grocery store in Sheboygan. She then was a bookkeeper/secretary for her husband’s insurance agency, State Farm Insurance in Sheboygan.
Betty was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary for the VFW Post 9156. Betty and Burt were known for their square and polka dancing and were members of the Sheboygan Dance Club and the Kettle Squares. They would win every polka contest anytime they entered. Betty and Burt loved traveling in their retirement and spending time with their grandchildren as well.
Survivors include her three children, Jim (Mona) Schuldt of Plymouth, Jeff (Amy) Schuldt of Franklin, and Joel (Erin) Schuldt Wauwatosa; twelve grandchildren, Mike Schuldt, of Plymouth, Tyler Schuldt (Kelsey Freit), of Fox Point, Ben Schuldt, of Madison, Philip (Elizabeth) Schuldt, of North Carolina, Kelly (Michael) Mullenix, of Alabama, Peter (Valerie) Schuldt, of West Allis, Holly (Dalton) Staley of Arizona, Luke Schuldt of South Carolina, Ellie Schuldt, Daniel Schuldt, Cassia Schuldt, and Jonathan Schuldt of Wauwatosa; and seven great grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her two brothers, Jim (Peggy) Hendrickson, and Don (Nancy) Hendrickson; and her three sisters, Mildred Francois, Judy (Ed) Grabow, Ginger (Howie) Von Ruden. Many other relatives and friends further survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Father Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Betty’s name. A heart felt thank you is extended to the staff at the Pine Haven Christian Home and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
