Esther Goetsch was born on October 1, 1921 in Rushford, WI to the late Mike and Rose Liebelt and passed away on July 12, 2022 at the Shores of Sheboygan at the age of 100. She was united in marriage with Harvey W. Goetsch on March 6, 1943 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. During her working years she was employed by the White House Bakery and Eclipse Manufacturing. Esther enjoyed baking, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her daughters, Lynne (Grant) Mayer, Karen (Tom) Ruppel, Kathy (Mike) Lesicko and Jean (Jerry) Haese; grandchildren, Kim (Scott) Williams, Amy (Erik) Mikkelson, Stacy (Jason) Klein, Melissa (Kevin) Knapp, Holly (Jeff) Dean, Christopher (Rachel) Berlin, Erin Berlin, Jennifer (Patrick) Lorenz, Sara (Jimmy) Meyer, Ryan (Ashley) Lesicko, Angela (JJ) Raflik, Adam Haese, Amanda (Dan) Wilson; 22 greatgrandchildren, 3 great-greatgrandchildren and 2 step-greatgrandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Esther is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Goetsch; daughter, Bonnie Berlin; son-in-law, Thomas D. Berlin; grandson, Steven Mayer; parents, Mike and Rose Liebelt and siblings, Edward Liebelt, Edwin Liebelt, Gustave Liebelt, Fritz Liebelt, Harold Liebelt and Alma Gallert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Esther’s name.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Shores of Sheboygan south building for all of their care, compassion and friendship and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, especially her nurse, Michelle.
