Eunice Catherine (Klein) Baker, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away at home on August 12, 2023. Eunice was born to the late Peter and Catherine (Gerlach) Klein on July 15, 1935 in Milwaukee. Eunice graduated from Random Lake High School in the class of 1953. She was married to the late Bruce Alvin Baker on August 24, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. Eunice was a die caster at Tecumseh for most of her career and retired from there at the age of 65 in the year 2000. She raised her five children and helped the rest of the family raise theirs. She loved her family more than anything and was selfless in all she did. Her home was an open door for all that needed her. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Eunice is survived by her children, Catherine Grosskreutz, Charles Baker, Bruce Baker, Jeffrey Baker and Jerry (Cathy) Baker; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; siblings, Marie, Pauline, Janice, Dennis and Keith.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Peter Klein and Earl Klein, and grandson Torrance “Torr” Baker.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2136 N. 21st St., Sheboygan, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Eunice’s name at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Hospice and all the doctors and caregivers that helped with Eunice.
