Faye D. (Boeldt) Gerhartz, at the age of 76 years she left this world on 7-2-2024 with her family by her side. Born on March 19, 1948 to Russel and Dorothy (Prinsen) Boeldt at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Faye attended Sheboygan Falls and graduated in the class of 1966. In that year, she met a Sheboygan boy, Gary R. Gerhartz and they were married on August 5, 1967.
Just married and not knowing how to boil potatoes, or prepare a steak, she did learn some cooking skills and loved to cook, especially creating homemade soups and chili for their two wonderful sons, Gavin (Katherin) Gerhartz and Gregory Gerhartz (Ken Nagy). Happily the meals got larger, as she was blessed with two grandsons, Nathan (Ashley) and Nicholas. Then, of course, it would also be cooking for hunting and fishing camp too!
Faye worked in office positions, mostly credit related throughout her working years and was credit manager for Polar Ware Company. When Polar Ware purchased Stoelting, she managed credit for both companies. When both companies were purchased by Vollrath, she then continued in Vollrath Credit Department until her retirement in 2013.
She enjoyed going to family members sporting events be it soccer, football, or trap shooting. Faye was also a trap shooter and won trophies for Sheboygan County High Ladies Championships.
“Up North” was special for her, as she designed and helped build their summer home on the lake. She loved the time she could spend there. She enjoyed fishing times spent in Canada, Lake Michigan and Lake Erie. As age became a factor, she had to give up snowmobiling and out state and country trips. Great were the memories of trips to Mexico, the Bahamas, Florida and especially Wyoming where she went to help on the hunt by pulling the deer up the hillside.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; sons, Gavin (Katherin) and Gregory (Ken Nagy); grandsons, Nathan (Ashley) and Nicholas; close family friends Randy and Carol Rossman in addition to cousins and many other friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Russel and Dorothy Boeldt, in-laws Gordon and Lorraine Gerhartz and all the aunts and uncles.
There will be a visitation from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, until the time of the service at 5:30 p.m. Pink was Faye’s favorite color, the family would appreciate the attendees wear something pink in her remembrance. Private burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In addition to flowers, memorials can also be made to the St. Nicholas Hospital Foundation in Faye’s name.
Faye’s family would like to thank the St. Nicholas Hospital 5th floor ICU team including nurses Allison, Angela, Ariana, Marie, Rachael, Courtney, Laurie, Paul, Crystal, Kayla, Michelle and Jessica for the outstanding care and compassionate care given to Faye.

Deepest sympathy to Faye's family. She was very enjoyable to work with at Polar Ware in the 1980's.
