Gary L. Weber, 77, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25 at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born in Sheboygan in 1947 to Eugene and Norma Miller Weber, Gary graduated from South High School in 1965 and married his high school sweetheart Penny Diener in 1970. He was a veteran of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Gary dedicated his working years to the Hayssen and Kohler Companies as a machinist and then as an electrician.
An avid traveler, Gary explored the world with his wife Penny, always ready for a new adventure. With a keen eye for detail, he was always willing to lend a hand as “Mr. Fixit.” There was never anything too difficult for him to repair or build. It was a talent that his family appreciated and admired. His passion for American history fueled his lifelong learning, complemented by his love for reading. Known for his easy sense of humor, he brought joy and smiles to those around him.
Gary was a loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather, proud of his children and grandchildren. He cherished attending their soccer and basketball games, track, cross country and swim meets, musical events, and football games. He was an expert grill master. In his early years, he was a softball player in the Industrial Softball League and enjoyed playing tennis with his friends. Nice weather would find him riding his e-bike to Terry Andrae State Park and interacting with other e-bike riders. A morning walk with his wife Penny was a daily event.
Gary’s spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him; but will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.
Surviving are his wife, Penny; son, Timothy (Jennifer) Weber of Geneva, IL and daughters, Megan (Stuart) Dornfeld of Pulaski and Briana Weber of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Logan and Alexis Weber, Hannah, Elizabeth and Lukas Dornfeld; sister-in-law, Peggy (Jeffrey) Jensen of Sheboygan; nieces, Marissa (Jeffrey) Prentice of Sheboygan and Mallory (Gage) Lacey of Iowa; brother, Rick (Pam) Weber and sisters, Cindy (Joe) Berger and Kathy Stockinger.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Weber Jr; sister, Janet Laux and parents-in-law, Edward and Gertrude Diener.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St, Sheboygan with Pastor Patrick Niles of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the care givers at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion provided to Gary.

Thinking of all of you and keeping you in my prayers at this most difficult time. My heart breaks with you. I always enjoyed seeing your Dad, Megan, at so many of his grandchildren’s events. He and your mom were so supportive in that way to them. Gary always struck me as such a kind, gentle, and joyful man who always put others before himself. What an example he set for all of us with his unselfish, quiet, and unpretentious manner.. May your faith, family and friends surround all of you with support and love now and in the days to come.
