Gerald H. Sitte

Gerald H. Sitte, age 92, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 6, 1928 to the late Hugo and Florence Kohls Sitte.
He attended school in Milwaukee and graduated in 1947 from Pulaski High School. On March 31, 1951 he was united in marriage to Harriet Ella Hammelman in Sheboygan. Gerald was a U.S. Army Veteran and served his country from 1951 until 1953.
Gerald was employed at A.O. Smith Corporation in the Engineering Department and retired as a supervisor after 38 years. He was a member of the ELCA, Elks Club #299 and the Masonic Club in Milwaukee. Gerald enjoyed golfing, woodworking and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet Sitte, of Sheboygan and a brother-in-law, Roger Hammelman, of Urbandale, Iowa. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Gordon Buth.
A funeral service for Gerald will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Adam L. Scheblein officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Please practice social distancing and facial covering are required at the funeral home.

The man who: a. played catch with a baseballs and footballs, b. played numerous board games including chess, c. took me out of Sheboygan to see Milwaukee Braves games, d. helped me put together many, many plastic models, e. Served as an excellent male role model, f. loaned me his car on my first honeymoon, etc. will be sorely missed. Thanks for so many great memories!
