Gerald Richards, age 92 passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Gerald was born July 12, 1930, in Lake Mills, WI to the late Harold and Retta (Bare) Richards. On September 12, 1953, Gerald was united in marriage to the former Betty Rindfleisch at Ebenezer United Church of Christ; she preceded him in death October 8, 2019.
Gerald served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was then employed by the C.A. Flipse Company, Thielmann Sausage and retired from K.W. Muth Co. Gerald was an active member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, serving on the consistory and as an usher. He enjoyed couples bowling with his wife in their earlier years and numerous travel trips in their retirement.
Survivors include his children David (Jean) Richards of Sheboygan, Sandra Meyer of Sheboygan and Lisa Perry of Sheboygan, grandchildren John (Lisa) Richards, Amy Hasenstein, Shelley (Dave) Koch, Joy (David) Becker, Faith Gross, Charity (Lance) Little, great-grandchildren Madelyn, Hannah, Megan, Adam, Gabriela, Adalyn, Elijah, and Emma.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty and a brother Donald.
A private funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Gerald’s name.
