Glenn C. Powers, “Poopman” age 75, of Sheboygan, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, following a series of heart attacks. He was born in Sheboygan on July 2, 1947, the son of the late Paul and Marion Holtz Powers.
He was loved clearly by his wife Helen, granddaughters, Element and Giavana Fieldhouse, and by his spoiled dog, Buster. Glenn and Helen were united in marriage in Las Vegas on April 16, 1999.
Glenn worked many jobs thru his long life including making toilets at Kohler Company, the tannery for 18 years, building prefabricated homes, and tending bar. He had a tree service for 25 years and started Glenn’s Drain Service in 1972 until March 9, 2023. He always said he work until died.
Glenn loved his house in Gleason, WI. He enjoyed fishing with his grandkids and making fires that scared his wife. Glenn’s favorite daily thing was “going out for a little breakfast.” He was very social and even sang karaoke a few times at Helds bar. (Tub thumping his was jam)
He enjoyed fixing all the broken equipment with “Ralphie” his imaginary friend. We always left the room when Ralphie was addressed. Glenn also went to Kwik Trip every night and would look for deer.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; three children, Brenda Powers, Paul (Tanya) Powers, and Lee Powers; two step-children, Brian (Bethany) Fieldhouse, and Rebecca Singel; two special granddaughters, Element and Giavana Fieldhouse; five grandchildren, Kylie, Dominic, Maysa, Reese, and Hannah; a great grandson, Xiaver; and his sister, Lois Walter. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jan Melis, and a nephew, Ryan Walter.
A funeral service for Glenn will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave. Sheboygan, with Rev. John Berg officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Forest View Cemetery in Gleason, WI.
Thank you to all of the extraordinary staff at Saint Luke’s hospital for their love, care and support. Especially Dr. Fisher and nurses Brittney Drake and Sam.
A memorial fund has been established in Glenn’s name.

I knew Glen from way back , he and climbed trees together. Glen Powers was a joy to be around. I enjoyed running into him at the hardware store in later years , always had that slight grin like had had a card up his sleeve. I will surely miss seeing Glen driving the “Eel Cam” van around town. Great guy.
