Gloria Marie Fang, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Nicholas Hospital. She was born in Joliet, IL on May 30, 1944, to the late Joseph and Josephine Papesh Fang.
She attended local schools in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School. Gloria was employed as a paymaster at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL, for 38 years, until her retirement. She was a current member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Gloria’s number one priority was her family, she adored her niece and nephew, and their children. She also loved her two furry companions, Zorro and Sharky. Gloria made friends wherever she went and was never afraid to talk and get to know anyone. She was highly creative and enjoyed her many art projects with family. Most of all she was known for being quite the character and her cheeky sense of humor.
Survivors include her brother, Joseph “Skip” Fang, and his son Geoff of AZ; a niece, Tamara (Bob) Remington, and their children, Emily and Lucas; her nephew, Robert (Monica) Remington, and their children, Erika and Sophia; and her brother-in-law, Robert Remington, all of Sheboygan. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Delores Remington.
A memorial service for Gloria will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gloria’s name may be directed to Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan. A heart-felt thank you is extended to Barb of Comfort Keepers and the LakeHouse Senior Living staff, especially Carrie and Dr. Boll, for the compassion and care that was given to Gloria.
