Grace M. Reklaitis

Grace M. Reklaitis, age 88, of Sheboygan, died on Sunday, August 14,2022 of natural causes at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in Sheboygan on March 25,1934, the daughter of the late Dr. N.C and Mailitta Garling. She attended South Side Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1952 where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
On August 27,1955 she was united in marriage to Wally Reklaitis. Grace and Wally owned and operated Rek’s Bar on 12th and Broadway for 37 years from 1956 to 1993. Grace served as the CEO and official Bouncer in the business. They sponsored many successful sports teams and she often stated they had the best customers in town! Grace was inducted into the Sheboygan Woman’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Sheboygan Softball Association Hall of Fame in 2000. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society. She enjoyed sewing and singing in the Choir at St. Andrews church.
Survivors include her son, Randall (Mary) Reklaitis; grandsons, Tanner (Jessica) Reklaitis and Jared (Morgan) Reklaitis; nieces and nephews with Lynne and Jeff Schuette of Arizona being special to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wally; parents; in-laws and siblings, Keith (Ruth) Garling, Marilyn (Carroll) Schiffler and Robert (Barbara) Garling.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers, friends, neighbors, and family for the help and love you provided to her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. A private burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Sheboygan A’s baseball organization.
