Helen M. Bergeron, 85 of Sheboygan, WI was received in the arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on her daughter’s birthday, February 11, at Aurora Hospital, Sheboygan. The day she gave life to Janine; was the day the Lord gave Helen New Life in Heaven.

She was born in Lunenburg, Mass. on August 24, 1939 to William & Vieno Meyer. At age 11, she survived having Spinal Meningitis Encephalitis with no long-lasting effects.

She married Raymond Bergeron and had one daughter. Helen was proud to be one of the best female offset printing press operators in Worcester County.

In 1998, Helen came to Wisconsin to reside with her daughter and had many fun adventures with Janine, enjoyed dining on the chicken legs at Pizza Ranch, met some wonderful friends, enjoyed serving on the Altar Guild & crafting at Good Shepherd along with traveling back to Mass, visiting brothers in Virginia & Florida and her aunt on Long Island.

A survivor of breast cancer since 2004, she met other survivors and was part of the Pink Brigade who affectionally named her Mumzy, which stuck. Mumzy enjoyed sharing her favorite New England hotdogs with the Pink Brigade, while at Our Savior’s Lutheran & a few special doctors (& their staff) in her life.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Janine of Sheboygan, brothers Ed (Ruth) Meyer, Clearwater, Randy (fiancé Betty) Meyer, Seminole, Chris (Annie) Meyer, Gloucester, sister Sandra Meyer, Tucson, and Debbie Brunck (friend Bill), Rutland, MA, who “adopted” Helen & Ray as her second family. Predeceasing Helen were her parents, siblings Bill, John, Dan & Karen.

Visitation at Good Shepherd Lutheran, 1614 S. 23rd St., Sheboygan will be on March 22 starting at 2 pm with a Memorial Service at 3 pm, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Gugel. Helen will be laid to rest in the Fitchburg, Mass family plot after a Memorial Service in her home church, Messiah Lutheran, this summer.

Helen’s family would like to thank the kind staff at Progressive, the staff at Aurora Hospital, especially the most awesome Hospitalist, Dr. Elizabeth Nora, special friends Bill & LouAnn, Judy, Andy (who visited Helen daily), Tzer, neighbors Jim & Kim, Shirley & Doug, and Pastor Gugel for his many visits.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s name may be made to Good Shepherd, Sheboygan or to the Sheboygan County Humane Society, Sheboygan.

Helen was a part of some if my fondest memories. Whenever I eat lobster I think about the time we would visit Mass and go out for seafood.

JB! How I wish I could be with you now! My heartfelt sympathy and love go to you at this time of grieving. Know that her change of address is infinitely for the better, but it still hurts like crazy. The Lord pour out the balm of his love on you and grant gradual healing!. We'll be in touch! Love and hugs and blessings! Mat and Joan

Helen you were one of the best people in my life. I loved sitting down over a cup of tea & just talking. Never judgemental just loving. We also had many laughs the kind where we would be crying or trying not to pee our pants! LOL!!! There will be a big hole left in my heart now that you are gone. I wish I could have seen you more often. Thank you for being so kind to my children, they loved you too. Also my Granddaughter Lexi. I wish you could have met her in person. I will love you always!

Thr light of love in this dark world will shine just a bit dimmer for a bit, with the absence of Helen.. however, as the sparks of faith she set and protected grow it will return to its beautiful glow and shine even brighter. I thank God for the beautiful faith she shared, the amazing daughter she raised, and the many lives she touched with her love for Jesus. How fitting that God would take her home on the anniversary if the day he placed Janine into the world to carry on her beautiful legacy of faith and love. Prayers for all those whose hearts feel broken right now, I sincerely pray God will remind us all of ithe grand reunion to come and help.is rejoice in her victory through Christ.
