Ilona M. Douville, age 72, of Sheboygan, died on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at her home. She was born in Germany on July 26, 1950, the daughter of the late Edward and Irmgard Trice Mueller.
She attended local schools in Wheeling, Illinios, and graduated from Wheeling High School. Ilona was united in marriage to Gregory Douville on September 12, 1992. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2017. She was the Lead Housekeeper at Aurora Memorial Medical Center for many years, and at the new Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan.
Ilona enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, cooking German food, and watching the Hallmark Channel. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include her two daughters, Shannon (Rob) Schnitzler, of Marshfield, and Britt (Matt Trudgeon) Herrera, of Sheboygan; a son, Ian (fiancée Katie Pheifer) Lorge, of Howards Grove; grandchildren, Brandon, Gregory, Brady, Andrew, Justin, Austin, and Kade; two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Levi; a sister, Rosemarie Hoss, of Palatine, IL; and her two nephews, Mike and Mark Hoss, both of IL. Other relatives and friends further survive her. Ilona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter, Anna Herrera.
A visitation for Ilona will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan.
