Ione was united in marriage to Albin Udovich at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on October 9, 1954. She was a clerk and worked in the office at Glander’s Pharmacy for 39 years. She was very active in the community and at her church. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Christian Women’s group, the St. Peter Claver Ministry of Care, CYO, New Life Choir, helped with September Fest and was a Eucharistic Minister. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and helped with Bingo at her mother’s nursing home. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, walking and camping. Ione was so caring and always loved visiting her aunts, neighbors and any relative or friend. Family or stranger, she was always there for those that needed help.

She is further survived by best friend and cousin, Donna Webb; very close friends including the special Lallemont family and the 14th street neighborhood gang; brother-in-law, Richard Shelstad and numerous other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Shelstad; brothers, Clifford (Marian) Biehl and Rodger (Peggy) Biehl; brother-in-law, Earl Zarwell; three infant grandchildren, Zachary, Emily and Sarah Drews as well as other extended family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Community. Every staff member was family to Ione especially Montana who always brought her flowers. They would also like to thank the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their outstanding Christian Care.
The family would also like to thank all the family, friends and volunteers who came to visit, pray, called or sent cards to Ione. The family cannot even begin to name each person because so many reached out to Ione and cared for her.
Due to COVID-19 a private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Sheboygan. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ione’s name to St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Pine Haven Christian Communities or Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. I am so sorry to hear about Ione's passing. She will always hold a special place in my heart as she reminded me so much of my mom. I have always been touched by the caring and compassion pouring out from Deb and Carla. It made me feel even closer to all of you. Thank you for sharing your mom!

We have no words to express our great sadness at this time for your families. Losing both your mom and dad within weeks of each other is a tragedy no one should have to experience. We are so very sorry. Of course we are remembering so much! So many happy days. So much friendship and love. So many joys together on that infamous South 14th Street! Those were days and memories we will forever treasure! Please be at peace knowing you were wonderful daughters and they loved you so very much.

To Ione’s Family; As a 1950 Classmate of Ione at CHS, I am again so saddened to hear she has passed on so soon after your loss of Albin last week. Debbie, we’re you the daughter my wife and I met several years ago at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls when Ione was visiting Albin and my family was visiting me in rehab? I recall it was so nice as Ione introduced her family to my family. I for one never forget dear friends, even at my age of 88. They are now together again in Paradise. We pray that all of us ‘ Family’ stay safe from the virus. Our classmate Bob Borden sends his sympathy also. He has no IPad and I believe he grew up near your family. May God Bless all of us...MaryDonna & Orville Froh, now back in Sheboyganxxxx
