Irene Strege, 101, of Sheboygan, passed away at Morningside Health Services on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Irene was born on October 2, 1924 in Milwaukee to the late Stanley and Frances Piotrak. Irene worked at Koehler Insurance of Cedarburg for many years until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Jean (Denny) Breslin and Sue Rothe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Shirley Strege as well as other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Strege; son Fred; and her siblings.
Irene will be interred at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA with her husband.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Morningside and Moments Hospice for their care.

I am the piano player at Morningside and paly each week --Music With Jenny---Irene was my favorite person to sing along and know all the old songs. Even to the words to Stardust and many others ♥ I will miss her forever--her voice and musical timing etc were exceptional;. we always said good bye the the song Good Night Iriene--i will always see her in my dreams. ♥ what a precious lady
