Jack A. Keitel, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home. He was born January 18, 1936 the son of the late Arno and Alice (Oehler) Keitel. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran grade school and graduated from North High School in the class of 1954. Jack was in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. On June 29, 1957 he was united in marriage to Joan Mueller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was employed at J.F. Ahern for 42 years, retiring in September 1997, a member of the Plumber and Steamfitter local 400, Appleton and past President of Local 401, Sheboygan. He received a 50-year membership pin from Local 400, Appleton. He was also a member of AAL (Thrivent) Branch 1754. Jack was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Jack also enjoyed driving for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for over 10 years. On June 2007, Jack and Joan celebrated their 50th anniversary with family. Later, they enjoyed an Alaska Land and Cruise along with many other trips. They also had a place in Florida for 10 years. Jack will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; three sons, Kal (Renee) Keitel, Rod (Jenny) Keitel and Jay (Cindy) Keitel; grandchildren, Greg (Jill) Keitel, Amy (Andy) Wetzel, Stacy (Tyler) Hagerstrom, Tim Keitel, Jeff Keitel, Kelly Keitel, Zach Keitel, Brooke (Eric) Ledermann, Trent (Sarah) Keitel, Kailee (Vince) Ridenour; sister-in-law, Janice Keitel; great-grandchildren Abby and Luke Keitel, Zoe and Jackson Hagerstrom, Nevaeh and Norah Ridenour and James Wetzel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Victor and Daniel Keitel.
A funeral service will be held for Jack at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
