James Myron Bergschultz, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan on Monday, February 20, 2023. James was born on August 10, 1943 to the late Myron and Margarite (Ayres) Bergschultz in Port Washington, WI. James graduated from Port Washington High School in the class of 1961 and attended St. Mary School in Port Washington and St. Lawrence Seminary. He was united in marriage to Patricia Guttmann on October 22, 1966 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. Together they raised four children. James was a Registered Orthopedic Technician beginning his career in 1962 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington. He went on to work at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and Sheboygan Orthopedic Association until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Technicians, Boy Scouts of America, Vigil Member of Order of the Arrow and recipient of the Silver Beaver – Bay-Lakes Council. James was an ardent reader and he enjoyed camping, model building and model trains.
James is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Kenneth (Nicolette) Bergschultz, Kevin Bergschultz, Virginia Bergschultz and Ann (Matthew) McFadden; grandchildren, Eric and Jacquelynne; brothers, Robert (Lynne) Bergschultz and Donald (Sherry) Bergschultz as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery Columbarium.
