Janet “Jan” S. Holler, 75, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on June 1st, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Janet was born in Sheboygan on October 15, 1947, to the late Earl and Marion (Baack) Baumann. Janet attended Plymouth High School.
After high school, Janet started working at Bordens Cheese and then at Richardson Brothers Furniture, where she worked for almost 40 years until the closing of the company. She then went to work at Nemschoff Furniture for a short period of time before retiring.
On January 25, 1986, she married Richard Holler.
She enjoyed helping others, she was the one that many friends and family members called upon for help, from pulling weeds to pressing cider or for a simple ride to breakfast with the ladies. She had a deep love for being on the farm and seeing the Fischer kids grow and laugh.
She shared her love of cards, specifically Sheepshead and Hand & Foot, every Sunday with her brothers and sisters.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Craig) Weinkoetz of Plymouth, Randy (Mary) Holler of Sheboygan, Pamela (Harold) Carpenter of Plymouth, Laurie (Dave) Reuter of Sheboygan and Michael (Kim) Holler of Sheboygan: Grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Weinkoetz, Samantha Weinkoetz (special friend Matthew). Matthew (Alyssa) Holler, Ben Holler, James (Stephanie) Carpenter, Nicole (Matthew) Carpenter, Jennifer (Leon) Yelle, Kyle (Christina) Reuter, Jacob (Ashley) Reuter, Natalie (Lukas) Adams, Eric (Amanda) Holler and Ashley Holler; and many great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, Donald Baumann, George (Rosemary) Baumann; her sisters, Alice (Allan) Stader, and Linda (John) Fisher; and a brother-in-law, Robert Holler. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Holler, parents, Earl and Marion Baumann, sisters-in-law, Janet Baumann, Janice Benke, Nancy Holler, Pat Smith, Doris Holler, and Carol Holler, and her brothers-in-law, Arden Holler, Otto Benke, and Robert Smith.
A memorial service for Janet will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave., Sheboygan with Rev. Patrick Niles officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place in the Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery.
Special thanks to the many wonderful people that were in Janet’s life. She loved and prayed for you often. Also, special thanks for the loving care from Dr. Bettag, Amy Clark, and the whole staff at the Sheboygan Cancer & Blood Specialists Center. So sorry to hear Janet passed away. To Shelly and family-I know exactly how you feel, having just recently lost my own mother. Sincerely, Steve Smith ( Pat Smith's son)
