Jean Kistner was born on January 2, 1924 and passed away on December 18, 2021 at the age of 97.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. On October 7, 1944 Jean was united in marriage with Bernard “Barney” Kistner in Camp Hulen, TX. During her working years she was employed as a Bank Teller at Security First Bank. Jean was a member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Mary Martha Guild. She enjoyed her flowers, playing Bridge and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Randy) Sterk; grandchildren, Julia Dross, Tricia (Steve) Krause, and Matthew (Lisa) Dross; step grandchildren, Carrie Morrow and John Sterk; great-grandchildren, Libby and Leah Burns; niece, Joy (Dave) Belasic and her beloved cat, Oliver. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Kistner; parents, Ernest and Meta Leubner; sister, Verna (Harvey) Halverson and nephew, Leon Halverson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
