It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Jeanette T. Felde. She was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on January 5, 1956 to the late Henry and Lou (Fiala) Felde. She returned to eternal life on August 29, 2025 at Sharon S. Richardson hospice center after a long and complicated battle with multiple ailments…because Jeanette was anything but simple. Before passing, Jeanette forged a 69 year trail of laughter, generosity, compassion, and wisdom.
Jeanette attended local Sheboygan schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. After graduation, she worked a number of jobs-eventually working for Torke Coffee for more than 20 years. After that venture ended, Jeanette found her true calling in life-personalized care of the elderly. She loved helping and providing for her clients. She made countless connections here…with clients, client’s families, nurses, and CNA’s alike. She never knew a stranger.
Although Jeanette never married, she had found love in life. Once with the late Paul Eggebean and later in life with Gale Tracy. Both of these relationships also provided a built in psuedo- family including children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. Jeanette also had a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews that she treasured and love spending time with. She was the epitome of the “cool” aunt. She offered unconditional love, was always up for an adventure, and was a constant safe space.
Jeanette was always the life of the party…but not that kind of party. Jeanette entered into sobriety back in 1989, having more than 36 years sober. The AA community was also a huge part of her life. She was a strong pillar in that community. She cultivated an endless number of relationships from the program and helped so many more as a mentor or sponsor.
How does one wrap up an entire life in only a few words? Jeanette was loyal, she loved fiercely and laughed whole heartedly. She was one of a kind and she will be greatly missed.
Jeanette is survived by: her two sisters Lou Ann (Bill) Stroo and Mary (Scott) Bannier; her partner, Gale Tracy; sisters-in-law, Sharon Felde, Carol Felde, and Angie Felde; several godchildren; numerous nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends aplenty. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Lou Felde; her three brothers, John Felde, Tom Felde, and Paul Felde; nephew, Doug Felde; granddaughter, Vanessa DiMartino; many clients, and also many friends.
The family would like to extend their many thanks for the abundance of kindness found at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services, Aurora Medical Center ICU in Grafton, and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
