Jeannette M. Lane, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Jeannette was born in Sheboygan to the late Herman and Josephine (Loersch) Piaskowski. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1947. On February 12, 1949 Jeannette was united in marriage to Raymond H. Lane at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She worked at Kohler before having kids and raising her family. Later, she worked as a bus driver for Head Start of Sheboygan County for 15 years. Jeannette and her husband then began their own business, The Finishing Touch, which entailed refinishing and upholstery work, where she finally retired. Jeannette was a talented seamstress and quilter. She was a lifetime member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was part of the St. Anne’s Society and church choir. She was an avid volunteer assisting at St. Vincent de Paul and many other activities at church.
Jeannette is survived by her children, Karen (Dave) Ward, Mary (Dennis) Grapentine, David (Lois) Lane, Brian Lane, Therese (Bill) Berg, Thomas (Jodie) Lane, Jacqueline Lillesand, Sara (Tom) Rogers and Steven (Bethany) Lane; 29 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and sister, Josephine Pfister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sandy Toston; sons-in-law Jeffrey Lillesand and Lenny Toston; grandchildren, Tina, Alyssa and Keegan; five brothers and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave., Sheboygan, with visitation at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the Mass with private inurnment later in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. A memorial fund is being established in her name. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.reinboldfh.com.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care.
