Jeffrey Gruenke was born on October 2, 1948 and passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 73. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the class of 1967. Jeffrey was united in marriage with Patricia on September 21, 1968 and shared 48 years together until her passing. He proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from July 12, 1968 until April 17, 1970 and was able to go on the Honor Flight in October of 2017. During his working years, Jeffrey made a lifetime career at Schultz Sav-O Stores. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Wilson. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing, bowling, horseshoes, grilling outdoors and watching the Brewers, Bucks and Packers. Jeffrey was very fond of his entire family and made sure they were always the center of his life.
Jeffrey is survived by his children, Tracy (Ron) Noll, Jeffrey Gruenke Jr., Krista (Steve) Cobb and Becky Gruenke; grandchildren, Dekker, Turner, Seaver, Taylor, Cameron, Sophie, Caitlyn, Alyssa and Izaak; great-grandchild, Kayden; siblings, Jane (Julian) Jetzer, Joette (Conrad) Martin, Judy (Chuck) Stroo, Jesse (Nancy) Gruenke and Jacqueline (Jeff) Gordon and sister-in-law, Barb Gruenke. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Gruenke; parents, Albert and Jeanette Gruenke; brothers, James (Bernice) Gruenke and Jack Gruenke; grandson Parker and sister-in-law, Virginia Duchow.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Deidre Faust and Sharon S. Richardson community Hospice for all of the care given to Jeffrey.
