Joan Lucille Hildebrand, age 89, of Sheboygan, went to be with her heavenly Father on June 30, 2022. She was a resident of The Shores of Sheboygan at the time of her passing. Joan was born April 17, 1933 in Sheboygan to the late Albert and Rose (Frank) Zibell. She was confirmed on March 30, 1947 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1951. On July 12, 1952 Joan was united in marriage to Glenn Hildebrand in Cheyanne, Wyoming. They also lived in Texas and Oklahoma before returning to Sheboygan. Joan waitressed at Riverdale Country Club from 1948-1951 and again from 1956-1966, clerked at Park and Shop from 1966-2000 and volunteered at Pine Haven. She and her sister, Anita Paasch, had “Natures Gifts” and made dried arrangements and crafts.
Joan is survived by her former husband of 64 years, Glenn Hildebrand; two nephews, Barrett (Becky) Paasch and David (Patty) Paasch; great nephews, Peter (Angie) Paasch, Patrick (Kim) Paasch and Paul (Stephanie) Paasch; great-great nephews Garett, Caleb and Brandon Joel and Kyle; great nieces Crystal (Geoff) Sdano, Nicole (Ben) Droppers and Sarah (fiancé Kyle Maier) Paasch; great-great niece, Amalia; stepsister-in-law, Mary M. Kistenmacher.
Besides her parents, Joan was preceded in death by three sisters, Anita Rose (Wally) Paasch, Bernita from pneumonia and Florence an infant and stepbrother, Fritz D. Kistenmacher.
Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan, WI with Reverend Christian Gugel of Christ Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Church, Sheboygan, officiating.
A heartfelt thank you to The Shores of Sheboygan and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and special caregivers Angie Ritt, Julie Kleefisch and Mary Kistenmacher. Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
