John Bushner was born on February 17, 1937 and passed away on February 24, 2026 at the age of 89. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School with the class of 1955. John was united in marriage with the love of his life, Bevery Wirtz, on September 7, 1957 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, going to the races, weekend get aways and more than anything, he enjoyed working in the automotive field specially building race engines, which was one of his greatest passions.
John is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Cindy (Lee) Luecke, Lynn (Dave) Serebin, Jenny (Jim) Schmidt and John (Michele) Bushner; grandchildren, Jon (Amber) Luecke, Sam (Linda) Luecke, Sadie (Chris) Becker, Travis (Lauren) Serebin and Haley (Joe) Baldoni; great-grandchildren, Dax, Ada and Ila Becker, Ozzy, Zeb and Isaac Luecke, Eleanor and Charlie Serebin, Abel, Juniper and Lenora Baldoni; step grandchildren, Dakota (fiancé Marcus) DeWindt, Devin and Emma Radloff and step great-grandchild, Perrin Radloff. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Bushner and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (John) Roblee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. – noon service to follow at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street Sheboygan. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in John’s name to the American Red Cross, Sheboygan.
