John D. Seidlitz, age 71, of Sheboygan, passed away with his loving family at his side, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, due to complications associated with Covid-19.
John was born October 8, 1950, to Daniel and Dolores Seidlitz in Sheboygan. He attended Franklin Grade School and Farnsworth Junior High School and graduated from South High School in 1969.
John will be remembered for his generous and helpful nature, and his love of family, sports, and gambling. He married Michelle Nack in Las Vegas in 2018. John was an avid Packers and Brewers fan, and often vacationed and hunted together with the extended family up north. He loved traveling, some of his favorite destinations were Dubai, India, Las Vegas, and Stonehenge in the United Kingdom. For many years he was partner with Jeff Gahagan of Zieggy’s Tavern, and later Scenic Bar until 2019. He worked at J.L. French Corporation (Nemak) of Sheboygan throughout his adult life, retiring in 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle, and her son Noah Reetz; his son, William (Erin) Seidlitz and grandchildren Madelyn and Nicholas of De Pere; his daughter Christine (Wally) Kunstman and grandchildren Alexis (Festim) Suma, and her baby Leon; granddaughters, Taylor Thao, and Kaylee Kunstman, of Sheboygan; his mother Dolores Seidlitz of Sheboygan; his brothers, Steven (Bonnie) Seidlitz, and their son, Blair of Greenfield, Wl, Richard Seidlitz, his children, Faedra (Brent) Mattox, Benjamin and Adam of Sheboygan; and Larry (Suja) Seidlitz of Pondicherry, India. He is further survived by his first wife, Marcia Roob and by loving uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Daniel Seidlitz, his sister- in-law Wendy (wife of Richard Seidlitz), his nephew, Grant (son of Steven & Bonnie Seidlitz), as well as various well-loved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, 5:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 South 12th St., Sheboygan. Family and friends may visit with John’s family at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson.
