Joni Marie White, age 73, of Sheboygan Falls, passed peacefully on Friday November 24, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in Sheboygan on August 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Ernst A. and Evelyn F., (Fiedler) Thuemmler.
Joni attended St. Peter Claver School and graduated from Sheboygan South High School class of 1969. After graduation Joni attended Fond du Lac Area Technical School earning an LPN nursing degree. Joni was employed as a nurse at Memorial Hospital and various nursing home facilities until her retirement in 2014.She was a current member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Sheboygan Falls, and a member of their Bible Study Group.
Joni is survived by her sisters, Carol (Wes) Plummer of Colorado, Lois Thuemmler of Madison, Mary Nierode of Colorado, Sharon (Richard) Roob of Sheboygan; nieces: Crystal (Kyle) Riste, Sarah (Jason) Alfonsi, Laura (Dustin) Boggs, nephew: Gregory Nierode; great-nephews, Vincent and Salvatore Alfonsi, Everett Boggs and great-nieces, Hadley Boggs and Gabrielle Dolgner and a great-great niece, Lillyanna DelleMonache. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Joni was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service for Joni will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Pastor Robert (Rob) Schrader officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Joni’s name can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Sheboygan Humane Society as she was an avid
animal lover.
