Julie F. Ploeckelman, 73, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with her family by her side.
She was born May 31, 1951, in Sheboygan to the late Richard and Ruth (Neitzel) Johannes.
On May 6, 1972, she was united in marriage to Leonard Ploeckelman at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage and raised 3 children.
Having a strong faith Julie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She was an activity aide at Sheboygan Senior Community for four years. She loved the outdoors and was a Master Gardner, planting gardens, many perennials, trees and shrubs at each home. Julie enjoyed going for walks and was an avid reader. Family was very important to her, and she cherished all the time spent creating cherished memories with her children and grandchildren.
Julie is survived by her husband Leonard ‘Lenny”, children; Amy (Sean) Mosbey of Dublin, CA, Eric Ploeckelman of Thiensville and Carrie (Joel) Michaels of Adell, grandchildren; Cade and Sawyer Mosbey, Logan and Emma Michaels, brother Rick (Diane) Johannes of Oregon, WI and nephew Jason Johannes.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Reinbold Novak Funeral Home,1535 S. 12th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Paul Marks officiating. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Julie’s name.
