Karl Conway Williams, 66, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025.
He was born on March 31st, 1959, to the late Margaret and Winston C. Williams. Karl grew up in Wauwatosa, WI and graduated from Wauwatosa East High School. He then received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Journalism from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Throughout his career, Karl owned and operated numerous companies, under the Waterstone name, that provided HR and leadership coaching services to businesses leaders in the Sheboygan and Milwaukee areas. He was passionate about inspiring people to become the best they can and fostering meaningful and lasting relationships. Delivering results with integrity and serving the people around him gave him the greatest pleasure in life. He also cared a great deal about his community and dedicated time and energy to give back to those in need. He was always selfless and lacked selfishness. His generosity left a tremendous positive impact on people’s lives and his community.
Karl lived life to the fullest. In his early days, he was a cyclist, rock climber, scuba diver, and weightlifter. Karl collected and rebuilt vintage Volkswagens, a hobby that he treasured and was proud of. He always loved cooking for his family and sharing his secret family recipes. He also became fascinated with architecture and interior design early on. Karl was an admirer of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright and an active learner of the Midcentury Modern style. Later in life, he enjoyed studying Japanese carpentry and honing his carpentry skills on projects in his “man cave”. He was also a fan of the Packers and loved watching the games with his family and friends.
Karl is survived by his sons, Triston and Jack Williams and his sister, Kathryne Oates.
He was preceded in death by his good friends and loving sister, Butch, Rick Leonhard, and Karen Williams.
A private gathering will be held in Sheboygan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center are appreciated.
