Kathleen Ann Jaap

Kathleen Ann Jaap, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan. She was born in Milwaukee to the late Andrew and Marion Hickey. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Gary Jaap. She is survived by her two children, Amy Jaap and Andrew (Sara) Jaap; grandchildren, Sydney (Zachary) Hall, Mason Jaap, and Collin Jaap; great grandchildren, Hatteras Hall and Rhodes Hall. She is also preceded in death by her sister MaryEllen (John) Kowalski and survived by her other siblings, Margaret (Thomas) Pezzi and Andrew Hickey Jr . She is further survived by other close family and friends.
Kathleen grew up in Milwaukee, attending St. Veronica grade school and St Mary’s Academy High School, graduating in 1960. After high school she trained to be an X-ray technician and worked in this field until her early 30’s. From this time on, until she and her husband retired, she used her office and managerial skills to run the office of a small manufacturing business, while also doing the recordkeeping of their own family business. She loved to volunteer her time at St Augustine Church and for Girl Scouts at the Marion Chester Read Center where she was recognized as an outstanding volunteer. Kathy loved a good conversation with family or friends and was always there to lend an ear. She enjoyed playing BINGO and reading books. And, she was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially her Brewers.
The family would like to recognize all the incredible people who helped to care for her, including the staff at The Shores of Sheboygan, Shoreline Metro Connection, Fresenius Kidney Care, and Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan in her final days.
