Kyle Thomas Nack, age 33, of Sheboygan, WI passed away on July 5, 2024.
Kyle was born on Easter morning March 31, 1991 in Sheboygan, WI, the son and only child of Thomas J. and Cathy L. (Zengler) Nack. He was a long-time member of Bethany Reformed Church where he was baptized, attended Trinity Lutheran and Jackson Elementary schools, Farnsworth Middle School, and was a 2009 graduate of Sheboygan South High School. He received an Associate of Liberal Arts and Science degree in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin Sheboygan where he was awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year Award for the Health and Exercise Science Department. In 2015 he graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a major in Physical Education teaching preK-12 with minors in health education and adapted PE.
Kyle enjoyed a variety of activities, his favorites being golf, chess and poker. He participated in the Sheboygan County Table Tennis Club for several years and was an avid sports fan including football, baseball and basketball. He loved to work and started cutting lawns at age 13 which he continued since for over 25 neighbors and seniors in the community. He took great pride in his work and these were not just jobs to him; he formed genuine relationships with his clients, often visiting some after they had moved and no longer needed his care. One of his clients said he was like a grandson to her and she always looked forward to his visits. At age 14, he began working at Riverdale Golf Course and subsequently worked at The Gruenke Company, J.J. Koepsell, The Sheboygan Area Recreation Dept., The Sheboygan YMCA and has been a Physical Education teacher at Sheridan Elementary School since 2017.
Kyle volunteered at Meadowview Manor Nursing Home for several years. He had a special place in his heart for the five dogs he had growing up who were waiting for him with wagging tails at heaven’s gate. He also did dog sitting for many people. He enjoyed many years with his family and friends at their cottage on Wilke Lake.
Kyle had the privilege of knowing 3 of his great grandparents. When he was 13 years old, he was honored to play golf with his 87 year old great grandfather, George Huber. Kyle passed away on George’s birthday.
Kyle will be remembered for his sense of humor and compassion for others, especially children and seniors. Kyle was a minimalist and wanted for nothing except for the simple pleasures in life and the company of family and friends.
He was genuine, honest and loyal, with a gentle kind soul. He was a dependable friend who touched the lives of so many people in his 33 short years on this earth. He leaves behind hundreds of students who he loved and who adored him. The student’s nickname for Kyle was Mr. “Snack.” Kyle had a huge heart, always giving others the benefit of the doubt, which sadly lead to his tragic death.
Words cannot express our appreciation for the overwhelming and heartfelt love and support we have received. While not a surprise, it is beyond our imagination what a positive impact he has had in the lives of so many.
We want to thank the first responders and the medical staff at Sheboygan Aurora Medical Center for the care given to Kyle.
Kyle is survived by his mother and father Cathy L. (Zengler) Nack of Sheboygan and Thomas J. Nack of Kiel, Cathy’s fiance, Scott Duchow and his children, Larissa, Courteney (Austin Davis) and Brody Duchow and nephew Carson Duchow; Tom’s fiance, Maria Veeser and her son Dominic Veeser; grandparents Thomas A. and Johanna (Huber) Nack, Lora Zengler, uncles Mike (Chris) Zengler, Al (Ann) Zengler, Ron Marshman; aunts Cindy (Hal) Korman, Karie (Bob) Hessel, Amy (Dan) Budrick and Lisa Neerhof as well as many other relatives and friends.
