Larry J. Pearce, 84, of Sheboygan passed away at home on Friday, July 16, 2021. Larry was born to the late Josephine and John Gill on March 13, 1937. Larry’s last name was later changed to Pearce when Josephine was married to Tracy Pearce. Larry was united in marriage to Margaret “Marge” Sanders on July 5, 1956 until her passing in February 2012. Larry worked at Mercury Marine, Plastics Engineering and retired as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Town of Wilson where he worked for many years. He was part of the Wisconsin National Guard from 1955-1958. Larry enjoyed hunting (particularly in Sawyer County and Montana), bowling, miniature bowling, golfing and ‘puttering’ outdoors. He always enjoyed a game of gin with Marge in the afternoons. Larry also volunteered at the Sheboygan County Research Center.
Larry is survived by his children, Mark Pearce (Cate White) of Plymouth, Matthew Pearce (Mandi Rudolph) of Germantown, Rachel Olig of Town of Wilson, and Mitchell Pearce (Trena Southern) of Lewisville, NC; grandchildren, Noah and Nicholas Pearce, Deanna (Wayne) Gromowski, Kelly Olig (Justin Trexler), Joel Gollhardt (James Patt), Adam Pearce, Jacob Pearce and Trinity Ann Pearce; great-grandchildren, Ava and Alexander Pearce, Calla and Emery Gromowski and Teagan Trexler; siblings, Mike (Lavina) Pearce, Patty (Dave) Wolshlager, Alan (Jackie) Pearce, Art (Francey) Pearce, Tom Pearce, Gene (Linda) Pearce, Steve (Carolyn) Pearce, Sally Pearce, Dan (Deb) Pearce, Barry Pearce, Darlene (Dale) Wolshlager and Peggy White; brother-in-law, Nick Cordell.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Tracy Pearce; sister, Sally Pearce; son-in-law, Dennis Olig; sister-in-law, Helen Cordell.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
Memorials can be designated to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, especially Heather Raeder and Jennifer Beitler, for their daily and weekly care of Larry.
