LaVerne Mary (Klein) Bowser, 92, of Sheboygan, passed away on October 21, 2024. She was born in the Town of Herman to Edward and Marie (Schwinn) Klein on September 11, 1932. She attended St. Dominic Catholic Grade School and graduated from North High School. On October 14, 1950 LaVerne was united in Holy Matrimony at St. Dominic Catholic Church to John “Jack” Bowser. It was an amazing story of love, respect and friendship that lasted 72 years.
As mom tells it, she had the “privilege” of being a stay at home mom to their 8 children. She was tireless in her energy to care for us and keep our home running smoothly while still finding time to be an active member at St. Peter Claver Church.
LaVerne was also a member of the Riverdale Ladies 9 Hole Club for 26 years where she met many new and dear friends. After years of traveling with Jack to Europe, the Caribbean, Hawaii and other states, Florida with the golfers became their favorite winter destination.
Mom was a very humble and strong woman with a deep faith and unwavering love for her cherished husband, Jack, and her family.
She is already missed by her eight children, Linda Boeldt, Diana Lautenschlager, Craig (Tina) Bowser, Paula Rakun, Carla (Terry) Hall, Debra (Eddie) Jesinski, Brent (Kathy) Bowser and Sonia (Dick) Feustel; 20 grandchildren, Derek (Kara) Boeldt, Jamie (Steve) Cook, Matt (Kristin) Lautenschlager, Lucas Bowser, Tim (Heather) Bowser, Kelly (Kenneth) Landis, Ben (Michelle) Rakun, Bart (Alyssa) Rakun, Josh (Noel) Feider, Marie (Chris) Rank, Kyle Jesinski, Erik (Kristie) Jesinski, Katé (Lee) Jahnz, Alexa (Jake) Chaffee, Greta Bowser, Jake (Abbi) Bowser, J (Kavanya) Feustel, Steven (Cassandra) Feustel, Tom Feustel and Baily Feustel; 26 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Margie Kuehl and brother-in-law Bob (Dorothy) Bowser.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; grandson, Jack Rakun and her brother Donald (Sharon) Klein.
Friends and family are welcomed to join us as we celebrate her life on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, followed by Mass at 12:00 p.m.
