Linda Van Koevering, age 80 of Kohler passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her home on Monday September 2, 2024. Linda was born December 1, 1943, in Battle Creek, MI to the late Claire and Ann (VanderWal) Brott.

Linda was cherished by all that knew her. She was known for her drive, wicked sense of humor and creativity. Those enduring qualities however paled in comparison to her kind and loving heart. She was so many things to so many people. She was a devoted and loving wife to Thomas Van Koevering, they were united in marriage August 4, 1962 in Wyoming, Michigan. They were active members of their church and community and raised 3 children in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Linda worked in the Manitowoc County Circuit Courts for 33 years. Thomas preceded her in death April 25, 2011.

Linda was a talented artist. She was inspired by nature and all God’s creatures and used her skills to bring happiness to many people. She opened her heart and home to all and always had a homemade cookie or three ready to share.

Linda was blessed to love again with William Hollingsworth of Kohler, Wisconsin and Green Valley, Arizona. Linda and Will blessed each other’s lives with love, companionship and much laughter. Both families were so grateful that their parents were able to enjoy many wonderful years together.

Survivors include her partner William Hollingsworth of Kohler, children: Lori Brooks of Mequon, Mike (Jolene) Van Koevering of Fishers, IN, Angela (Marty) Kaplan of Waterford, WI grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sam Brooks, Alex Brooks, Claire Van Koevering, Sarah Van Koevering, Jade (Chris) Guerin and their children Westin and Ava, Dylan Budan, Aren Forrest, Emma Forrest two sisters Gloria (Pete) Peterson of Mantua, Ohio and Delores Brott of Cadillac, Michigan.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make a difference that you have lived and lived well.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
