Lucille J. Halverson, age 77, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, July 07, 2025, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born in Sheboygan on January 28, 1948, the daughter of the late Elroy and Florence Kutz Ertel.
On September 21, 1991, she was united in marriage to Richard Halverson at Evergreen Park in Sheboygan. He preceded in her death in December of 1998. She was employed as a custodian at Horace Mann Middle School in Sheboygan, and in her earlier years she took immense pride in being a homemaker.
Lucille enjoyed word searches, bingo, playing cards with her family, especially Sheephead. She collected wind chimes, porcelain dolls, and Lucille loved to listen to 50’s and 60’s music.
Survivors include her three children, Scott (Nicole) Cudworth, of Sheboygan, Tracey (Marvin) Crites, of West Bend, and Jeff Cudworth, of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Myron Ertel, Roy Ertel, and Verlin (Susan) Ertel, all of Sheboygan; her three sisters, Janette Mews, Sandy (Richard) Damrow, both of Sheboygan, and Brenda Ertel, of Sheboygan Falls. Many other relatives and friends survive. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, Devon, and her sister, Marlene Maxey.
A funeral service for Lucille will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Gregory Whelton officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery.
