Lucille Roediger was born on December 20, 1937 to the late Arthur Rudolph and Bertha Wilhemina Karoline (Hammermeister) Brandt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillpoint, WI.
Lucy attended school at a local grade school and graduated from Webb High School in Reedsburg, WI in 1955.
She was united in marriage with John Roediger on October 2, 1956 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Together they raised three children, David, Laura and Kristine.
Lucy was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She was in the choir, served church meals, was a Sunday School Secretary and held offices in the Christian Women Fellowship and Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League.
She was employed in Reedsburg at Harper Studio, Memorial Hospital, Schultz Brothers, as an Avon Lady, at J.C Penny, Brenner Litho and Viking Grocery and Drug Store and while in Howards Grove she later worked at The Store.
As a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove she was a member of choir, CWF serving all offices, LWML serving all offices in zone 9 and volunteered at Bethesda.
Lucy enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, baking, sewing, flowers, gardening, fishing and traveling both near and far.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 67 years, John; children, Dave (Patty) Roediger, Laura (Larry) Marnholtz and Kristy (Gary) Mangerson; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, in-laws and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, W2776 WI-32 in Howards Grove, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League or Christian Women’s Fellowship at Trinity Lutheran, Howards Grove.
