Marian G. Hildebrand, 96, devoted wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16,2023 at Pine Haven Christian Communities, Haven Drive Campus, Sheboygan Falls.
Marian was born December 5,1926, to Henry and Jennie (Kooman) Brasser in the Town of Holland. She received her first eight years of education in a little country schoolhouse near Oostburg, WI. In 1940, Marian graduated from Oostburg High School.
Marian was introduced to Walter Fabian Hildebrand Jr. by a co-worker while employed in the Payroll Department at Vollrath Company where she worked for 15 years.
On June 25,1948, she married Walter. Together, they shared 74 wonderful years of marriage. Walter preceded Marian in death on December 12,2022.
Later in their marriage, Marian was employed as a teacher’s aide with the Sheboygan Area School District for 17 years, retiring in 1991.
Marian thoroughly enjoyed golfing with her girlfriends, tending her garden in the summer, and was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. Marian also enjoyed the challenge and beauty of puzzles, traveling with her best friend, Walt, and most of all, spending time with her family. However, Marian’s greatest joy was attending the many activities that her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participated in through the years. She was so proud of their many accomplishments.
Marian was the last charter member of Bethany Reformed Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. As a faithful member, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Women’s Guild, and would offer her time and services whenever needed.
Marian is survived by her two children, Neil (Deette) Hildebrand, Sheboygan and Jill (Paul) Brinkman, Howards Grove; Three grandchildren, Jacob (Amanda) Hildebrand, Kayla (Joesph) Widder, and Ethan Brinkman; four great grandchildren, Hanna and Tred Hildebrand, Lucas and Issac Widder; brother Wayne (Lynn) Brasser; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jennie Brasser; her father-in-law and mother- in-law, Walter Sr. and Louise Hildebrand, step mother-in-law Mary (Radtke) Hildebrand, sister Lillian Wissink, brother-in-law Douglas Wissink, and sister-in-law Audrey Brasser.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hildebrand's passing. She was one of my school aides when I attended Longfellow School in Sheboygan back in the 70's. I recognized her bright smile right away! She was always so positive and encouraging. My sympathies to her family.

So sorry to discover both Walt and Marion have passed. Both have a long and lovely life together. I will always remember the stories of the trips and vacations our families had together.

Dear Jill, Neil, and Family, We're so sorry that you lost your mom. She was a really nice person and I know that my Mom (Joyce) cherished your mom's friendship. Please accept our sincere sympathies and know we're thinking about you all. Kit
