We are so sorry for your loss. Mariet was a beautiful person, who really made us feel welcome when we moved here, from out of state 2 years ago. I will always remember her making us her special Adobo, even hand delivering. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. We will miss her smile and waves from across the street.

Lola, I'm both sad and happy, sad that I was not able to meet you there before you went. Your great-grandson (Ric Joaquin) always says that he wants to meet you there. When I told him that I was sad about what happened, he just told me, "Don't be sad daddy, she is in heaven now" and hugged me. I hope his hug can reach you. But I'm happy because your pains are done. Even though you seized to exist in this world, you will always be forever in my heart and my memories. Until we meet again.

Our condolences, Ana and to your family. Your mom was a great teacher. She's the first teacher who taught me English and encouraged me to speak it. Thank you for your mother. She's one of the most beautiful and influential people I've ever met.

Hi Lola, who knows that last Christmas was the last time we will be hanging out. I’m glad though we finally saw each other in person after almost 10 years. I remembered you pain then and I jokingly told you to brush it off as I saw you still strong then. But God has a different plan for you and probably knows your pain the best. Anyway, although sad, I know you are free from pain now. Rest and be as jolly as you are as before up there. I will miss your strong voice. We love you!

Gabrielle Rodriguez

Hi lola. You were one of the sweetest people I've known, and your passing has left a hole in the hearts of people you've touched throughout your life. Despite that, I know you're in a much better place because you're no longer in pain. I love you and I will miss you so much. -Gabe

To my Grade 4 Teacher ...Thank you so much for polishing my writing, reading and counting. My memory of you ...strict but humane. You always have that smile on your red painted lips and you moved bubbly and very energetic. Thank you again. You are with the Lord now. P.S: thank you too, you raised a fine lady like you and God-fearing child my dear friend Ana.

It is with profound sadness to hear the passing of Ms. Marietta Rodriguez, my former Professor in Calculus/Mathematics at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Manila. A smart, dedicated, exceptional and hardworking educator, I am lucky to have met her in my life. She is one of my favorite teachers as well. She imparted an amazing ability to motivate us, her students, to appreciate a very challenging subject like mathematics. Ma’am Mayette truly became part of our solid foundation to be the best version of ourselves. I am more than blessed that this remarkable mentorship continued thru her daughter Dr. Ana Pabayos, my mentor/superior/Vice President at the GSIS, Pasay City, Philippines. To the rest of the family, I know that no words can describe the sorrow. Let us be consoled that Ma’am Mayette is now resting peacefully in God’s Almighty Hands. Rest in peace Professor Mayet, you will always be remembered.

It’s almost Mother’s Day Nanay but you chose to have a date with the Lord instead and left the family sad indeed. But we are not selfish not to let go of your pains. You are loving, dedicated, intelligent, hardworking, an achiever and a strong woman to your husband Crispin and children Ana Pabayos, Cora Japson, Noel Rodriguez, Ellen Viernes, Emy Hizon and Enri Rodriguez. Rest in Peace Nanay. Mission in this world accomplished. We love you and will miss you so much.
