Marilyn Ann Schmelter, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away at Sheboygan Health Services on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Marilyn was born on August 20, 1929 in Sheboygan to the late William and Emma Barbara Mueller. Marilyn attended local Sheboygan schools. She was united in marriage to Ruben Schmelter on May 15, 1948 in Billings, Montana. Ruben passed away in November 1971. She loved her family and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Tom (Jane) Schmelter; granddaughters, Lisa (Matt) Friedl and Christine (Charlie) Wigg; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Brandon Friedl, and Matthew, Hailey and Nathan Wigg; brother, William Mueller. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Sheboygan Health Services for their care over the last 4 years as well as Aurora Hospice for their special care in Marilyn’s last days.
