Mark Anton Kasberger, 75 of Sheboygan passed away on May 26, 2025 at the Aurora Medical Center- Manitowoc County.
Mark was born on November 14, 1949 in Sheboygan to Mathias and Doris (Chlosta) Kasberger. Mark lost his mother Doris to the polio epidemic in 1955; he also had a mother in Jean (Harlow) Kasberger.
Mark graduated from Sheboygan South High in 1969 and began employment with the Ebenreiter Lumber Company (Ebco.) He remained employed by Ebco until they ceased operations and then was employed by Nemschoff until he needed to retire early due to health reasons.
Mark was united in marriage to Ingrid Bruce on April 29, 1979 at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, they welcomed their daughter Holly in 1987. Mark and Ingrid enjoyed 36 years of marriage until she preceded him in death on September 9, 2015.
Mark was diagnosed with Alports Syndrome in his mid-twenties and was very grateful to have received three kidney transplants throughout his life.
Mark enjoyed reading and book hunting, polka music, sports of all kinds, Western Omelets with hash browns, City Bakery Long Johns and a double brat fresh off his Weber grill, on a hard roll of course. Mark embraced his German heritage and when he was younger he danced with the D’Werdenfelser Schuplatter club. He was also an honorary member of the Bavarian Ludwigs Benefit Society. Mark had a special bond with his granddog, Arnold; they shared many naps and pieces of buttered toast together.
Mark is survived by his only daughter, Holly Kasberger; granddog, Arnold; brothers Tom (Renee) Kasberger, Bob (Heidi) Kasberger and James Kasberger; sisters Barb (Leon) Lubash, Anne (Rob) Schroeder and Joan (Karl) Miller; sisters-in-law Joan Bruce, Mary Bosetti and Cathy Bruce as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Ingrid, Mark was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother John Kasberger, special aunts Hildegarde Chlosta and Florence (Andy) Sabatich; brothers-in-law Dean (Gen) Bruce, Roger Bruce, Bradley Bruce, Frank Bruce, Wesley Bruce, Warren (Shirley) Bruce, Dick Bosetti and a sister-in-law, Debbie Bruce.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan, with visitation at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m.
Mark faced many health obstacles in his life but didn’t let that stop him from cracking jokes and always being the life of the party. The life Mark lived would not have been possible without the care and expertise of so many healthcare professionals. Holly would like to thank the transplant team at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee and all of the physicians and caregivers that helped him from Aurora Health Care; most specifically Dr. Michael Brooks who cared for Mark for almost 30 years and through two of his transplants.

Holly … I regret never meeting your Dad, he sounds like an amazing human being… you have his Spirit. So sorry for your and Anne’s loss, he will remain with you both in a different way. Take good care of each other.
