Marlyn Simonson Supiano (95) died July 8, 2024. Only child of Lester and Minnie (Nagler) Simonson, she was born in Oshkosh, WI on August 31, 1928. After graduating from Oshkosh High School in 1946 and Oshkosh State Teachers College in 1950, she taught English at Marinette High School in Marinette, WI for two years and at Washington Park High School in Racine, WI for over twenty years. Retiring in 1990 she returned to Oshkosh where she enjoyed volunteering at Oshkosh Public Library, Paine Art Center and Gardens, and Aurora Hospital. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as both a deacon and an elder. In 2019 she moved to Prairie Crossing at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls, WI to be near family.
Survivors are children Mark (Katherine) Supiano, Salt Lake City, UT and Mary (Douglas) Bogard, Sheboygan, WI; grandchildren Rebecca (Steven) Schmoll, Andrew (Jessica) Supiano, Drew (Emily) Bogard, Maren (Alex) Grabowski; and great-grandchildren Stella, Eva, and Amelia Supiano; Elaine and Emma-Louise Schmoll; Elisabeth and Jack Bogard.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Oshkosh, WI at a later date.
