Mary L. Burkart, 63, of the Town of Sheboygan, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center. Mary was born on May 6, 1958 in Cleveland, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Magdaline Belitz. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School and went on to further her education at L.T.C., earning an associate degree in graphic arts. Mary was united in marriage on September 22, 1984 to Dennis Burkart. She had numerous jobs and operated her own cleaning service for many years. Mary lived a long hard life battling many illnesses. She was a fighter and a believer that her Lord and Savior would take care of her. With her family at her side, she finally met her Savior and now is in total peacefulness.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dennis; son, Nicholas Burkart (significant other Kim Kasprzak); stepson, John Burkart; step grandchildren, Jared and Heidi Burkart; six brothers, Robert, Richard (Judy), William (Mary Jo), Ronald, Clarence (Heidi) and Leon (Patty); sisters, Rose (Guy) Fintelmann and Janet; brother-in-law Joseph (Maryruth) Burkart; sisters-in-law Geralyn (Mel) Rosio, Victoria (Ronald) Imig and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father- and mother-in-law, Joseph and Matilda Burkart; stepson, Jason Burkart; brother-in-law, Michael Burkart; sister-in-law, Kathy and nephew, Wyatt.
A memorial service will be held for Mary at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jon Naumann will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Diabetes Foundation or transplant research. Condolences may be expressed online at www.reinboldfh.com.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at DaVita Sheboygan Dialysis Clinic, Sheboygan Memorial Hospital and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls for their loving kindness. It will not be forgotten.
