Mary Lou Hauch, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Meadow View Health Services in Sheboygan. Mary was born the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Christy) Leitner on August 25, 1930 in Sheboygan. She graduated from Central High School. Mary Lou was united in marriage to Alois “Butch” Hauch on February 18, 1978. She was a switchboard operator for AT&T for 22 years in Burbank, CA. She took loving care of her husband for many years.
Mary Lou is survived by her stepson, Steve (Julie) Hauch and their children Jarad, Amanda and Jesse; sister, Donna (Ken) Holfeltz; nieces, Christy McClure, Margaret Monk, Beth Bandy, Cindy Keitel and Julie Holfeltz; nephews, Jim, John, Mark and Mike Leitner, Brian Leitner, Brad Holfeltz and Bill and Wes Monk; great friends, Irma Adler and Joan Brick.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Bernie (Jessie) Leitner, Ray (Shirley) Leitner, Frank (Elsie) Leitner and Kenny; sister, Dolores (Charles) Monk.
Mary Lou requested no public funeral to be held. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery and a private family gathering will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Martella, Dr. Schleevogt and staff as well as Meadow View and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for their compassionate care.
