Mary Pazaris, 70, of Sheboygan suddenly passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.     She was born November 9, 1953, in Sheboygan to the late Elfrieda and Frank Pazaris.   Mary graduated from Sheboygan South High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Lakeland College in counseling and a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.   Mary had a long career as a counselor at Aurora Hospitals (Sheboygan Memorial and Sheboygan Clinic).   She retired recently in 2018.  She also taught counseling courses at Lakeland College.  She enjoyed working with her patients and students.

Mary enjoyed softball and bowling, but in the last 12 years she switched to golf.   She loved to play cribbage and sheepshead with friends at The Senior Center and The Rightway Club.  She also was an artist and owned “Rascal Rehab” where she repainted garden gnomes and ornaments and sold them at local craft fairs.  She would also do acrylic painting as a hobby.

She shared her life with her extended family of friends in Sheboygan.  She often invited friends over to watch Packer Football and had holiday parties and summer cookouts with her many friends.  She was an active member of the Rightway Club for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and making various baked goods with the fruits and vegetables.  She always had dogs or cats as pets throughout her life and did some volunteer dog walking for elderly friends.

Mary is survived by her brother, James and wife Lori of Concord, Massachusetts, cousins Richard Schieble and wife Sherri of Sheboygan, Jeff Geissler and his wife Denise of Phoenix, Arizona.  She has one nephew, Mathew Pazaris and his partner Melissa Smith and their two children, Warren and Alessandra.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home & Crematory, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. (Please use Georgia Ave. to access 12th St.). Entombment will take place at the Lutheran Cemetery Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sheboygan Humane Society and Sheboygan Rightway Club.

I met Mary during my semester abroad in 2012. She showed me her beautiful house, introduced me to her cats and told me much about her life. I got also invited to a garden party of her friends, maybe some of you will read this - I enjoyed this night a lot! I am thankful to got in touch with her, write E-Mails and call her some times. All the best to you, Mary, wherever you are.

My sincerest thoughts are with you Mary and always will be. We will miss your artistic talents in art class and just commiserating together as artists do.

I met Mary while helping a friend at craft shows. She always teased me and said I was "one of her best customers". Needless to say I have many items that she rehabbed and received many compliments on them. Thoughts go out to her family, friends and everyone she touched throughout her career. She was a special person and truly will be missed.

RIP Sweet Mary ~ I so enjoyed working with you at the Center. And then out & about after I left there. I will cherish my packer buddies that you made for me along with all the other goodies. And will miss you at the craft fairs. And your smile would lite up the room. You were a special lady to many & you had a heart of gold!
