Melissa C. Fredricks, age 56, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She was born in Sheboygan on December 17, 1966, the daughter of Merwyn and Dianne (Noel) Tetzlaff.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1985. On February 14, 1987, she was united in marriage to Scott Fredricks in Sheboygan.
Melissa was a letter carrier for the Sheboygan Post Office for over 30 years. She attended Crossroads Community Church, enjoyed trivia, and loved spending time with her family, especially with her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was also a Milwaukee Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Fredricks, of Sheboygan; a daughter, Amanda (Kyle) Blindauer, of Sheboygan Falls, and their two daughters Chloe and Kadence Blindauer; her mother, Dianne Tetzlaff, of Sheboygan; three brothers, Merwyn (Patti) Tetzlaff, of Kenosha, Michael (Tami) Tetzlaff, of Racine, and Ryan (April) Prue, of Sheboygan Falls; her mother-in-law, Suzanne Fredricks, of Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Todd (Dawn) Fredricks, of Sheboygan; and her sister-in-law, Tracy (David) Ploetz, of Cleveland, WI.; nieces and nephews, Samantha (Jared) Lechusz, Austin (Amy) Maxedon, Caleb Davis, Joshua Davis, Lydia Davis, Marisa Tetzlaff, Trevor Tetzlaff, Tristan Tetzlaff, Olivia Prue and Paris Prue. Many other relatives and friends further survive her. Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Merwyn Tetzlaff, a brother, Merrill Tetzlaff, and her father-in-law, Thomas Fredricks.
“Missy” will be remembered for her quick wit, goofiness, and her caring heart. She was a loving wife, mom, friend, and an amazing Mimi to her “schweetie pies”.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to those that assisted on scene.
A memorial service for Melissa will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Melissa’s name.
