Mildred “Millie” Schrader, 88, of Sheboygan passed away at Oak Creek Assisted Living on December 25, 2018. Millie was born to the late Joseph and Sophia Bushway on September 10, 1930 in New Hampshire. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School. Millie was united in marriage to Leon Schrader in June of 1956 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Millie was a teaching assistant for 14 years at James Madison Elementary School in Sheboygan. She was an active church member along with many community organizations such as the Accent Marching Group, Cub Scouts, Catholic Women’s Organization, an election worker and a lifelong blood donor. Millie always had a strong sense of duty within her community and found personal fulfillment in being involved. While living in Florida she was proud to be a local elected official.
Millie is survived by her three children, Anna (Gregory) Lorenz, Tony Schrader and David Schrader as well as other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon and her siblings, Margaret Bushway, Anthony Bushway, James Bushway, Cecelia Dobrzynski and Mary Ann Madden.
There will be a funeral for Millie at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
