Monika Myah Ramminger, 67, of Sheboygan passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. Monika was born in Germany on July 13, 1955 to the late Wilhelm and Martha Sick. Monika immigrated to the United States of America in 1999. Monika was united in marriage to Leonard Ramminger in 1974. They were later divorced. In 2004 Monika was united in marriage to Earl Oakley until Earl’s death. Monika was proud to have earned her GED from LTC in 2014. She worked for many years at Above & Beyond Children’s Museum in Sheboygan. Monika lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out into the community and socializing with people in the area. When diagnosed with cancer, Monika had a service dog named Ginger who was very special to her.
Monika is survived by her first husband, Leonard Ramminger; children, Patricia, Diana and Frank (significant other Heather Bohman) Ramminger; grandchildren, Fatoulee, Dequan, Tayshaun and Logan; great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Gabriel, Camren and Felicity; sisters, Birgitt and Beate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Earl Oakley; granddaughter, Sanna Ramminger; siblings, Peter, Udo and Herbert.
A funeral service will be held for Monika at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Hope Community Church, 2916 S. 11th St., Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at church from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m.
