Nancy Erickson, age 84, of the Town of Wilson was born in Sheboygan, WI on December 6, 1938 to the late George and Sirella Fessler and died peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at St. Nicholas Hospital. She attended Grant Elementary School, graduated from Sheboygan North High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University. On August 12, 1967 Nancy was united in marriage with Robert Erickson at the Grace Episcopal Chapel in Elkhart Lake, WI. During her working years, she taught at Wilson Elementary School as a fourth grade teacher for 30 years. Nancy was a member of the Wisconsin Education Association, the Sheboygan Yacht Club and Grace Episcopal Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed traveling, reading, walking, movies, animals, art, cooking, flowers and the outdoors.
Nancy is survived by her cousins, many friends and her two Shih Tzus, Bella and Sweet Pea. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, George and Sirella Fessler and sister, Ann Kosup. Per Nancy’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Episcopal Church or the Sheboygan Humane Society in Nancy’s name are appreciated.
Nancy wanted to thank Don and Lynne DeBruin and their family for the support given since the passing of her husband, Robert, and to Corey Debruin for caring for her two dogs during this difficult time. Nancy would also like to thank her cousin, Tony Fessler for helping during her final days.
