Nathan was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on February 8, 1997 and passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022. He attended Wilson Elementary School, Farnsworth Middle School, and graduated from South High School in 2015. Nathan worked at Lakeshore Lanes and at Meijer as a Pharmacy Tech. Throughout his time in school, Nathan was a member of National Honor Society, enjoyed playing the violin, participating in a traveling baseball league, a softball league, and of course bowling. Starting at four years old, Nathan was knocking down plastic pins in the hallway at home, to junior bowling at the Elks’ Lodge, to winning the high school team state championship with his best friends. Nathan’s friends and teammates could always count on him for a laugh and a pep talk. He went on to compete at Junior Gold Tournaments in Buffalo, Chicago, and Indianapolis, and bowled at USBC Nationals in Las Vegas. Those who were lucky enough to know him cheered him on through many 300 games, a few 800 series, and watched as he got his iconic two-handed swing down to a science. To know Nathan was to love him, and he was nothing but kind to everyone he met.
Nathan is survived by his father, Shawn Theune; mother, Kimberly Theune; sisters, Courtney (Julio) Cerda and Hallie Theune; paternal grandparents, Philip and Kathy Theune; maternal grandparents, John and Betty Blodgett; aunts and uncles, Scott (Geralyn) Theune and John Jr. (Carrie) Blodgett; cousins, Thomas (Gina) Theune, Cal Theune, Tyler Blodgett, Avah Blodgett and countless loving friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle Robert Blodgett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan, with a time for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place following the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Nathan is most definitely an Angel in heaven, but I will remember him best as a Bandit - playing second base for us on our Lakeshore. League junior baseball team. He was a joy to have on the team! Everyone who knew Nathan knew his attitude and demeanor was dependably good natured. I don’t ever remember him getting mad about anything. Maybe a little bit frustrated once in a while. He embodied the essence of our team - I consider him, and our whole team as overachievers. Playing well and winning games because they had a desire to be good, work hard at practices. Nathan played a great second base for us, and even some shortstop, pitcher too. I was happy he continued playing in the Sheboygan softball leagues after our Bandits days were over. Like all who knew him I will remember him fondly. R I P “Nater” Take care Theune family.

Nathan will most certainly be missed by all of his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle soul with an incredible sense of humor. He could always put a smile on my face. Many years ago I watched him get on the bus for his first day of school, and I was also there when he got off the bus and told me his teacher’s name was Mrs. Smith. I remember it like it was yesterday… his cute little smile and how he said Mrs. Smith’s name. Little moments like this with Nathan I will never forget. So many other little memories flash in my head when I think of Nathan: cold night with pudgie pies in your driveway, my kids waiting for you guys to get home from school when we came to visit and got an extended vacation because FL was enduring yet another hurricane, and of course, making you laugh when you were always shy at first when we came to visit. Your smile always lit up the room, I will cherish those memories forever. Nathan grew up to be a fine young man. He was incredibly smart, and of course, he had a talent for bowling far beyond his years. Although his life was way too short, it was very meaningful, and he blessed everyone who knew him. Nathan taught us all to be kind and humble; I pray that everyone who knew Nathan would honor his memory by sharing that same kindness and humility to others on a daily basis. We love you Nathan and we will dearly miss you. Love, Ray, Kellie, Jonathan, and Tiffany Connell

Shawn, Kim, Phil, & Kathy, so sorry for the loss of Nathan. A great young man with larger than life attitude, Thuene competitive spirit, and infectious smile. I played softball against him and looked forward to our games as his spirit and personality while playing in particular pitching reminded me of the good old days of playing with Shawn and having Phil as our coach. Our family has a heavy heart for your unimaginable loss. God Bless

It was always fun watching Nathan bowl. Talked to him about bowling and that his favorite nfl team wasn't the packers. I was miss him and look forward to seeing him again. My prayers to his family.

I don't even know where to start. Knowing Nathan since he was a much smaller kid. Watching him learn to bowl. Watching learn to bowl with 2 hands. Watching honor scores and some great bowling. Man that kid made me laugh. I'm a better person because I knew him. 100%! He will be missed.
